I too have clutch slipage at heavy throtel, but only while shifting and clutching. Now I changed my riding style to giving full throtel only after complete clutch engagement. My cycle only has 3000 miles. Another note is that I have been using 20/50 oil, because I thaught the extra protection would be good.
Rider/February 2000 magazine has some information in TECH Q&A page 68. I will quote them, "Suzuki is adamant about using its brand of 10/40 year round, and only recomends the heavier 20/50 for desert climates, citing clutch problems otherwise." "THAT'S NO SCAM IN MY EXPERIECE, AS I HAVE SEEN FUNKY CLUTCH OPERATION GO AWAY WITH A SIMPLE OIL CHANGE TO THE FACTORY GOOD STUFF."
